# Reports and exports
> Producing a document from an assessment
The **Report** tab builds a document from the assessment's current position — it composes prose at export time, from what's actually in the record.
## Report types
Two starting shapes, at the top of the preview:
* **Board paper** — a shorter set of sections for a decision-making audience.
* **Full record** — everything, including the per-criterion appendix.
The **Contents** panel on the right lists every section, and marks each as either **From the record** (a direct reflection of decided content) or **Engine draft** (composed by the assessment engine and worth checking before you rely on it).
## Export packages and formats
Choose a package — **Executive briefing**, **Board / review pack**, or **Full assessment record** — which sets a sensible default selection of sections; tick or untick individual sections (Record & provenance, Executive summary, Review & sign-off, Direction of travel, Assessment overview, Findings by category, Critical gaps register, Remediation & actions) to adjust it. Set a **Classification** marking (e.g. OFFICIAL).
Then choose a format:
* **PDF**
* **DOCX**
* **Evidence bundle (ZIP)** — the underlying evidence packaged alongside the report
* **PowerPoint**
* **HTML**
**Export draft** produces the document in the chosen format. Exports are watermarked **DRAFT** until the underlying record is signed.
## Briefings
Below Export, **Briefings** generates two further engine-drafted documents on demand: an **SRO Briefing** and a **Gateway Briefing**, each versioned and downloadable once generated.
